Mrs. Dawn’s garage door opener refused to heed any commands from remote, smartphone, or wall controls. The lights were all on, but no action.
Inside of the opener box, we found that Mrs. Dawn’s motor was rusted and jammed in place, unable to move at all. When asked, she explained she’d had a leak in her garage roof a few weeks ago. Replacing the main motor turbine was still cheaper than getting a new opener, so that’s what we did. The customer will make sure to keep her opener dry from now on.
